Update on Bradford & Bingley and Mortgage Express

 

Bradford & Bingley and Mortgage Express have ceased to operate as lenders. All live customer accounts were sold and transferred to other lenders between February 2015 and October 2023. Please see below for more information about the transfer of mortgages and loans.

If you have a query regarding a charge on a property that is still held in the name of Bradford & Bingley or Mortgage Express, we can help.

  • Solicitor name
  • Solicitor telephone number
  • Solicitor address
  • Borrower full name(s)
  • Borrowers date(s) of birth
  • Mortgage account number (if known)
  • Property address, including postcode
  • Title number
  • The date the account was redeemed
  • Date of charge
  • Who the charge is in favour of
  • The type of charge. E.g., a legal charge, an equitable charge or a restriction.

Once we’ve received your letter, our team will try to deal with your query as quickly as possible and will correspond with your solicitor directly as required.

Please note – if the charge is now held in the name of another organisation following the sale or transfer of the mortgage from Bradford & Bingley or Mortgage Express, we won’t be able to help.
